My Research Program

As a social scientist, I am fascinated by organizations and the study of people at work.  Broadly, my research program explores the mechanisms that contribute to positive experiences at work.  My research on leadership, dyadic relationships, work engagement, career success, research methods, and organizational culture has appeared or been accepted for publication in the Journal of Management, Journal of Service Management, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies, Journal of Business Strategies, and Journal of Psychology, among other academic outlets.  To date, my research program has generated $123,767 in research grant funding from organizations including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Foundation and the Robert K. Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership.  I have co-authored manuscripts that have won several "Best Paper" awards at national and international conferences including the "Best Overall Conference Paper" at the 2014 Southern Management Association annual meeting in Savannah, GA.
